The story behind PuzzlePiece Solutions: A metaphor for success.
Have you ever been so engrossed in a puzzle that you lost track of time? The feeling of accomplishment as you place each piece in its rightful place is second to none. But what happens when a few bits are missing, and the puzzle remains incomplete? This was the experience that led to the creation of PuzzlePiece Solutions.
I was working on a map of the world puzzle during the Christmas holidays of 2017. The puzzle started as a fun activity with my family but soon became an obsession as I could not stop until every piece found its home. However, around 4 am, I realised some pieces were missing, and the puzzle would never be fully completed. Despite the heroic efforts, the final picture was never seen. A complete waste of time, I thought.
But, this experience led me to reflect on how not having a complete picture (in life, business, not actually a puzzle) is a painful experience that often prevents us from reflecting on our achievements, moving forward with gained learnings, or creating solutions for future success.
The puzzle metaphor reminds me that success is not just about achieving our goals but also about the process of getting there. It is about appreciating the journey, learning from our mistakes, and being open to new ideas and solutions.
